Baseball Defeats SB Riley in Shut Out

The Baseball team was back on the field on Wednesday night as they hosted crosstown rival SB Riley at School Field. Adams shut the Wildcats out with a 10-0 victory. The Eagles collected 9 hits in the game, with Weston Hoke and JeffreySeitz finishing with 2 hits each. Kanien Smith was walked 3 times and Gerrett Miller had 2 stolen bases. Ben Piechocki got the scoring going for Adams with a sacrifice fly in the first inning to bring in Miller to score. In the second, Seitz singled to drive in a run and Miller scored again on a wild pitch. Smith would score on a wild pitch as well an inning later. Four runs would be scored in the fourth from a Piechocki single, Noah Mulvehill being walked, and a Seitz 2 run single. The final two runs were batted in by Hoke in the fifth Piechocki earned the win on the mound. Piechocki allowed only 1 run and struck out 6 Wildcat batters.
